These ALT codes can be entered on the number keypad in order to produce accented letters easily. Hold the ALT button, and press in the four numbers ON YOUR NUMBER PAD. Be sure to include the zero.

Unfortunately, some letters, mainly Polish, do not have ALT codes, but you can still copy them into your documents:

For Cyrillic, I recommend changing the layout of your keyboard, for which instructions can be found here. Because copying and pasting would be a laborious job, an alternative is to type the Romanized word into Google Translate in the Russian box, and usually it will convert to Cyrillic for you.
